About the Small Business Action Network

I woke up the day after the election heartbroken, yet determined. Within days, I had plane tickets to attend the Women’s March in Washington DC and something unforgettable to look forward to.

But after that, many of us were asking “What’s next?” What more can I do? I came home and decided to start the Small Business Action Network.

I was 9 years into running a successful catering company using my personal values as the foundation of the business. I thought a lot about what I did and how I did it—from sustainable food choices to how I treated my employees. This alignment felt good, but being a professional chef didn’t hold enough meaning for me anymore.

I realized that my passion for running my business based on my values was what I really loved most about being a business person (other than the catering itself), and I decided to help other progressive small business owners figure out how do that too.

So, I closed the catering business, and now I am completely dedicated to helping you bring your values to life in your small business, and I love it!

So if you are a small business owner who is asking, “How can I contribute to the world in a positive way through my business?” or “How do I align my business with my values?” then you’ve come to the right place.

Don’t go through life, grow through life.
